Pat Cummins is an international cricket player from Australia who is serving as the vice-captain for the Australian national cricket team, as of 2021. The fast bowler and the right-handed batsman captains as well as plays domestic cricket for New South Wales. Cummins was born on May 8, 1993, in New South Wales. He has played 34 Test matches and 69 ODIs in his cricket career. Cummins used to play junior cricket for the Glenbrook Blaxland Cricket Club. He emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the 2010-11 KFC T20 Big Bash League and was declared Man of the Match. His first-class debut came in March 2011 against Tasmania where he took his first four-wicket haul. In 2014, Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Delhi Daredevils bought him before IPL 2017 and Mumbai Indians bought him during the 2018 IPL auction. However, KKR bought him again in the 2020 IPL auction which made him one of the most expensive overseas players in the history of IPL auction.
